LINEDANCING:  We are pleased to hear of a Linedancing Class in Dawlish.
In fact, there are two classes. One is on a Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 at The Strand Community Centre. 32 The Strand.

The other is on a Wednesday morning, 11:30 to 1 at The Manor House. Old Town Street. Dawlish. EX7 9AP.

HOLBROOKS DANCE SHOES:

We regret that Holbrooks Dance Shoes are no longer in business. After so mnay  years of faithful service to dancers in the south west, Barry & Gail Holbrook have now retired.  We thank them for all the help and assistance that they gave to us.

 
 
 
It is so good to find that music, both live and recorded, is coming to the fore again.
Three new sources of music have contacted me in the past few weeks. Two are live bands and one is a disco that specialises in Ballroom Dancing music.
 
First there is 'Flash Co'. this is a Barn Dance Ceilidh Band based in Devon and the South West. They play an exciting unique blend of traditional
English tunes with a modern rock backline,  rhythms from around the world with celtic,  jazz and latin influences,  giving music for a range of
dances suitable for the beginner and the experienced dancer.

Next, we have a 5 piece Swing Band, also based in Exeter called  Just Misbehavin'.  They perform Swing Jaz, R 'nB and early rock 'n roll.
Songs from the swing era, the American Songbook and modern numbers done in a swing style.
